Rep. English Supports PA Tourism

In early May, I was pleased to support PA tourism by participating in the Pittsburgh Marathon. As State Representative, I served on the House Tourism and Recreational Committee and know how such events attract people worldwide to visit and support our local economy, while enjoying the beautiful sites and amenities our region and Pennsylvania offers.

This year, over 35,000 runners took part in the marathon with thousands more volunteers, spectators, corporate sponsors and small businesses helping to support Pittsburgh and an active lifestyle. The weather for runners was fantastic, cloudy and 55 degrees, which helped me have a faster time than the last two years of running the 13.1-mile half marathon.

The Pittsburgh Marathon organizers and volunteers did an outstanding job to help showcase our wonderful city. Hope to see you there next year!
